Sharksfin is a climbing area in the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots and trails, so it works well as a stop on a longer outing. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Allenspark show July highs around 74°F with lows near 44°F, while winter highs stay around freezing. That station sits well below the area, so temperatures at the crags run cooler. Woodstone and the Woodstone, Half & Half, and Slot Rock areas are about a tenth of a mile away. Twin Sisters Peaks and the Wind River Pass Trail are each roughly 0.7 miles off. For an overnight base, Glacier Basin Campground in Rocky Mountain National Park is about 4 miles away, and Meeker Park Overflow Campground is about 4.4 miles away.
