Pop Rock is a climbing area in Colorado's Boulder Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, within Platt/Rogers Memorial Park. It sits close to other small crags, making it easy to combine with neighboring rock in a single outing. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb here. At a nearby weather station, typical July averages run around a 79°F high and a 50°F low. The station sits about 450 feet lower, though, so temperatures at the rock run somewhat cooler. Coney Island and Higher Energy Crag are both about 0.2 miles away, and the Hawkins Surguine Spur Trail lies about half a mile off. For camping, Winiger Ridge is roughly 3.9 miles away.
