Gross Reservoir is a climbing area on county land within the Walker Ranch in Colorado, about 0.6 miles from a weather station that sits at roughly 7,970 feet. The land is managed by the county, and the station's typical averages make it a useful guide to the area's climate. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. July typically brings highs around 79°F and lows near 50°F, while winter highs stay in the low 40s with lows around 17°F. Two bouldering areas, Natural Apparatus Boulder and Chipped Boulder, sit about 0.1 mile away. Dale's Trail and Fisherman's Access Trail are each about half a mile off. For an overnight stay, Winiger Ridge campground is about 1.2 miles away.
