Cross Mountain Boulders is a climbing area in western Colorado on Bureau of Land Management land within the Little Snake Field Office. It is a bouldering destination rather than a route with a set distance or climb, so there is no one-way or round-trip gain to plan for. The most comfortable stretch for a visit runs from late spring into early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Maybell weather station show June highs around 79°F and September highs around 75°F, while winter brings highs near freezing and frequent snow days. Deerlodge Park Campground sits about 8.5 miles away, and the Disappointment Draw Trail is roughly 8.8 miles off, both good options for pairing with a day at the boulders.
