Arrowhead Arete Area is a climbing area in Colorado, about 0.3 miles from the town of Morrison. It sits right beside several other climbing spots, with The Caves and Outside The Caves both about 0.1 miles away, and the Warm-up Traverse Area a similar distance off. For comfortable climbing weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 77°F, with summer highs climbing into the mid-80s. That station sits about 400 feet lower than the arete, so temperatures up here run a little cooler. Beyond climbing, the C-470 & Bear Creek Trail is a mountain biking route about half a mile away, and the Turkey Trot Trail is a hike roughly 0.7 miles off. Dakota Ridge RV Park, about 4.8 miles away, offers camping, and Bear Creek, roughly 7.8 miles out, is an option for paddling.
