Shell Beach (Sonoma)

Shell Beach is a public ocean beach on the Sonoma coast of California, about 3 miles from Sereno del Mar, within the Sonoma-Lake Napa Unit. Restrooms are on site, access is accessible, and there's no fee to visit. Late summer into early fall brings the mildest, driest stretch. The beach makes an easy starting point for nearby trails. Pomo Canyon Trail begins just 0.2 miles away and Red Hill Trail is about 0.7 miles off. Climbers can head to the Pomo Canyon climbing area roughly 2 miles away, and paddlers will find Russian Gulch Creek about 6 miles off.
