Noyo Beach Off-Leash Dog Area

Noyo Beach Off-Leash Dog Area is a public ocean beach in Noyo Headlands Park, about a mile from Fort Bragg, California. As the name says, it's a place where dogs are allowed, and there is no fee to visit. Summer and early fall are the driest stretch on this part of the coast. At a nearby weather station, July through September typically average highs around 65°F with only two to four wet days a month. Winter brings typical highs in the low 50s and frequent rain, with about 16 or 17 wet days in December and January. For more time outdoors nearby, the Belinda Point Trail is about 2 miles away and the Ecological Staircase Trail about 3.5 miles. The Pygmy Forest Reserve Trail sits roughly 4 miles off, and paddlers can find the South Fork Noyo River about 7.6 miles from the beach.
