Muir Beach is a beach within Golden Gate National Recreation Area in California, about 0.3 miles from the town of Muir Beach. It sits right along the coast, making it an easy stop for a walk on the sand or a short outing in the recreation area. Late spring and early fall tend to be the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Kentfield show May highs around 74°F and October highs around 76°F, with only a few wet days in each month.
