King Salmon Shoreline Access
About
King Salmon Shoreline Access is a public ocean beach on the California coast, about 1.2 miles from the community of Fields Landing. It is a simple shoreline stop with no entry fee, and dogs are not allowed, so leave pets at home when planning a visit. The drier months are the easiest time to come. Typical averages from a nearby weather station on Woodley Island in Eureka show July and August highs around 63 to 64°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter brings highs near 55°F and rain on roughly half the days. To round out a trip, the Hikshari' Trail is about 2.1 miles away and the Elk River, a canoeing spot, is about 2.8 miles off. A little farther, the Shorebird Loop Trail and the Eureka Waterfront Trail sit within about 5 miles.
