Kellogg Beach Park
About
Kellogg Beach Park is a public ocean beach on the far northern California coast, about 2.3 miles from the small town of Fort Dick. It sits within the area known as Kellogg Beach, and there is no fee to visit. Summer brings the driest and mildest weather. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Crescent City show July and August highs in the mid-60s with only about three wet days a month, while winter months see highs in the mid-50s and rain on roughly half the days. The beach makes an easy base for exploring the surrounding coast. Peninsula Trail lies about 3.4 miles away and the Lake Earl Coastal Lagoon Trail about 4.3 miles away. Paddlers can head to Rowdy Creek or the Smith River, both within about 10 miles.
