Dillon Beach
About
Dillon Beach is a public ocean beach on the California coast, about a mile from the small community of the same name. Facilities are simple: there are restrooms on site, a fee is charged, and dogs are allowed, making it an easy choice for a day at the shore with a four-legged companion. Late summer into early fall brings the warmest and driest conditions, with typical September highs around 66°F and only about four wet days a month, based on averages from a nearby weather station at Bodega. Winter months run cooler and wetter, with highs in the mid-50s and roughly 11 wet days a month. Within about five miles you'll find paddling on Estero de San Antonio and Estero Americano, along with hiking on the Tomales Point Trail and McClures Beach Trail.
