Daisy Mountain
About
Daisy Mountain is a summit in Arizona, about a mile from the community of New River, making it one of the closest high points for anyone based in town. The cooler months are the time to go. At the nearest weather station in Carefree, typical average highs are around 74°F with lows near 48°F in March and similar in November, while June through August typically average highs above 100°F. That station sits several hundred feet below the mountain, so temperatures up high run a little cooler. The Daisy Mountain Trail lies about a mile away. Within a few miles you'll also find canoeing on the New River, the Quail Springs Trail, and the Black Canyon Trail Access, giving plenty of options for building a longer day around a visit to the summit.
