About Osborne Bend Trailhead
Osborne Bend Trailhead is located off KY 715 near the "concrete bridge" over the Red River and provides access to the Copperas Creek Canoe Launch, Osborne Bend Trail #240, Lost Branch Trail #239, Clifty Wilderness and the Red River. The Copperas Creek Canoe Launch accesses a 10.5 mile Recreational section of the federally-designated Red Wild and Scenic River. This class I section takes about 6 hours to complete and is great for beginners, but also provides enough sandbars, riffles and small ledges to make paddling interesting for everyone. The Wild and Scenic River designation ends at the Schoolhouse Branch confluence. The site has designated parking, visitor information, trash collection and picnic tables.
