Lake Wappapello is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir on the St. Francis River in southeastern Missouri, covering approximately 8,400 acres. The lake is well known for excellent largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish fishing, with numerous coves and timbered structure providing ideal habitat. Spring and fall are peak seasons for bass, while crappie fishing is excellent near brush piles and submerged timber.
