South Umpqua Falls Picnic Area

South Umpqua Falls Day Use Area is located above South Umpqua Falls and across from the South Umpqua Falls Campground. It is a popular swimming hole with water streaming over a 15-foot slab of bedrock. A section of which cascades into a beautiful pool which is perfect for jumping into during the heat of the summer. This area is quite busy in the summer. The day use area offers several picnic tables and barbecue areas. There is a viewing platform located above a fish ladder used by migrating salmon (jumping from the fish ladder is prohibited by law).
