SNOWGRASS HIKERS TH

An extremely popular trailhead providing access to the Goat Ridge Trail #95 and Snowgrass Trail #96 which lead into Goat Rocks Wilderness. Please note, despite some non-USDA maps, there are no established campgrounds in Goat Rock Wilderness. There are areas that have been used as campgrounds throughout the years by multiple parties during summer and fall but it is prohibited to set up camp within a 1/4 mile of Snow Grass Flats, Goat Lake, or Sheep Lake. A wilderness permit is required to enter the wilderness area. Permits are free and self-issued at the trailhead. Motorized and mechanized uses are prohibited in wilderness areas.
