About Howlock Mtn. Trailhead
The easily accessible Howlock Mountain Trailhead is great for equestrian users and hikers who wish to go for a quick loop or to explore the Mt. Thielsen Wilderness. Two developed campsites are available at the trailhead for equestrian users. This trailhead provides access to Howlock Mountain Trail, North Crater Trail, and Spruce Ridge Trail. There are no garbage services at this trailhead, so please be prepared to pack out your trash.
