About Horse Ranch Park Trailhead

Horse Ranch Park is an area free of trees along the Kebler Pass Road (Gunnison CR12). It serves as the southern trailhead for the Dark Canyon Trail #830, through the Raggeds Wilderness, and the Dyke Trail #838 to Lake Irwin. A toilet and kiosk are the only facilities available. Dispersed camping is permitted in the adjacent area. As the name implies, it is one of the better places to park, camp, and/or turn-around horse trailers along the Kebler Pass Road. As such, stock users often use the site to park to access the Beckwith Pass Trail #840, just across CR12.
