Gooseberry Campground

Gooseberry Campground facilities include 13 individual sites and 1 group site, tables, fire rings, water, historic gazebo and vault toilets. Gooseberry is in a remote location and there are no telephone or emergency services, except in Salina and Richfield. This is a high elevation area, taking extra warm clothing, food and a first aid kit is recommended. Please remember to enjoy the wildlife from a distance. Ground squirrels and other rodents are cute, but can be diseased, so do not feed them or initiate contact with them. Stinging plants and insects are in the area. Bring insect repellent and medications to relieve itching or allergies.
