About GLACIER LAKE

Glacier Lake Trail (# 3) is 2.2 miles long. It is a short but steep trail with spectacular views. Glacier Lake sits at 9,700 feet, but the trail climbs to more than 10,000 feet before you reach the lake. Elevation change: 1700 feet. The trail is open for the following uses: Hiking. The lake is in both Wyoming and Montana. If you plan to fish, please be aware that both state's fishing license could be needed, depending on where you are fishing. Plan accordingly. *Please be aware that travelling in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness comes with additional regulations. Please know what is expected of visitors before entering the wilderness.
