GEYSER PASS TRAILHEAD
About GEYSER PASS TRAILHEAD
The Geyser Pass winter recreation area is used as the trailhead/parking area for snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and Nordic and backcountry ski trails on the west side of the La Sals. This is the farthest portion of the Geyser Pass road that is plowed in winter and motorized travel beyond this point (except over-snow vehicles such as snowmobiles) is not allowed from December 15th- May 20th each year. This trailhead provides access to the Gold Basin area, a favorite winter destination for nonmotorized winter recreation. Snowmobilers may enjoy many areas along the Geyser Pass Road.
