About Elkhorn Creek
The Elkhorn Creek Trailhead provides direct access to the Elkhorn Creek, Lady Moon, and Disappointment Falls Trails. The Elkhorn Creek and Lady Moon Trails have been significantly rerouted during 2021-2024. Water flow is high at Disappointment Falls in early spring. The Lady Moon Trail passes through 2 large meadows along with open ponderosa pine and quaking aspen stands. The Trailhead contains a parking area, restroom, and information kiosk. The area is within a grazing allotment. Please close all gates.
