About CHULA VISTA TRAILHEAD

Chula Vista Trailhead is the beginning of a trail system that goes westerly thru a group of shady Jeffrey Pines, across a unique botanical area and over to the Condor Observation Site near the top of Mt Pinos. Beyond this site, several Chumash Wilderness hiking trails and campsites can be accessed. The Chula Vista Parking Lot is a popular snowlplay area during winter and for star gazing.due to the exceptional dark skies. Adventure Pass must be purchased and displayed on parked vehicles within the parking lot and adjacent to Cuddy Valley Road when snow is present. No fees are required during the spring thru fall months or when snow is not present in these areas.
