ACACIA RECREATION AREA

The drive from Apache Junction offers magnificent vistas of the Superstition Mountains, Salt River Canyon and Canyon Lake. The waters of scenic Canyon Lake wash against a wide swimming beach at Acacia. Acacia is adjacent to Palo Verde Boating Site. Unique Sonoran Desert vegetation surrounds Acacia Recreation Site. The waters of this scenic lake wash against multi-hued cliffs. Acacia is a pleasant escape from the heat of the Valley. There are 40 day-use sites w/ ramadas, picnic tables, & grills. Entry is closed when the site is full. Many of the valley's radio stations carry advisories concerning lake conditions and closures. Plan ahead and arrive early!
