Jim Mcclure-Jerry Peak Wilderness

Jim McClure-Jerry Peak Wilderness is a 116-acre federally protected Wilderness Area in Idaho managed by the Forest Service. It offers backcountry hiking and backpacking in a primitive, non-motorized setting where solitude and untracked terrain are the draw.

As a designated Wilderness, the area is subject to strict regulations: no roads, motor vehicles, or mechanized travel are permitted. Visitors must practice Leave No Trace principles—pack out all waste, camp on durable surfaces away from water sources, and travel quietly to preserve the remote character. Access is on foot only, and the small size means this is an intimate destination rather than a sprawling backcountry network.
