Horse Valley Wilderness Area encompasses 14,574 acres of primitive backcountry in southeastern Utah, managed by the Bureau of Land Management as a federally protected Wilderness. The landscape is remote and undeveloped—no roads, motorized vehicles, or mechanized travel are permitted. This is true wilderness: you'll find solitude, rugged terrain, and the kind of quiet that comes from genuine isolation.

The area is suited for hiking and backpacking in non-motorized travel only. Leave No Trace principles are essential here; you're responsible for packing out everything you pack in, protecting water sources, and leaving no trace of your passage.
