Deep Creek North Wilderness Area

Deep Creek North is a 4,277-acre federally designated Wilderness Area managed by the Bureau of Land Management in Utah. It protects a primitive backcountry landscape where foot travel and human-powered recreation are the only permitted modes of access. No roads, motorized vehicles, or mechanized equipment are allowed within the boundary.

The area offers hiking and backpacking for visitors seeking solitude and an untrammeled backcountry experience. Like all designated Wilderness, Deep Creek North requires adherence to Leave No Trace principles—pack out what you pack in, camp below timberline where permitted, use established campsites when available, and travel lightly on the land. Mechanized travel, including mountain bikes, is prohibited.

Access is on foot only, and seasonal conditions in Utah's high country can shift rapidly. Spring and early summer runoff, winter snow, and autumn weather patterns affect passability.
