Bighorn Mountain Wilderness Area spans over 26,000 acres of federally protected backcountry in California, managed by the Bureau of Land Management as a non-motorized Wilderness. Visiting means embracing true wilderness conditions: no motorized travel, no bicycles or other mechanized transport, and no maintained trail system in the traditional sense.
