Alexander Springs Wilderness

Alexander Springs Wilderness is a 7,888-acre federally protected wilderness area in Florida managed by the Forest Service. It protects a primitive backcountry landscape where motorized travel and mechanized equipment are prohibited—this is non-motorized country meant for foot travel and self-reliance.

Hiking and backpacking are the primary ways to experience the area. The wilderness offers solitude and backcountry immersion for those seeking to move through wild terrain on foot.
