About this water

The Congaree River and its floodplain within Congaree National Park offer a wild and scenic fishing experience for largemouth bass, catfish, and bream in an old-growth bottomland hardwood forest. Canoe and kayak access via the Cedar Creek Canoe Trail provides anglers access to oxbow lakes and sloughs teeming with fish. Fishing is permitted within the park with a valid South Carolina fishing license.
