About Wolverton Ski Bowl
Wolverton Ski Bowl is a former ski area in California that operated in the mid-20th century but has since been abandoned. Today, little remains of the original infrastructure—no lifts, lodges, or maintained runs. The site itself is difficult to access and largely reclaimed by the natural landscape. Visiting requires significant backcountry knowledge and is not a practical destination for skiing or snowboarding. Those interested in the history of early California ski development may find the location of archaeological or historical interest, but there are no visitor facilities, services, or groomed terrain to support winter sports.
