About Ski Cooper
Ski Cooper is a compact, locally-focused ski area nestled in Colorado's central mountains at 11,760 ft elevation, offering 1,159 vertical feet of skiing across 49 named runs. The terrain is well-balanced with 12 beginner runs (9.1 km), 17 intermediate runs (12.2 km), and 18 advanced runs (10.9 km), making it accessible for families and skill-building while providing genuine challenge for advanced skiers. Four lift types—two chairlifts, one T-bar, one platter, and a magic carpet—service the mountain efficiently, though lines are rarely an issue due to the area's modest size and loyal local following. With no snowmaking infrastructure, Ski Cooper relies entirely on natural snowfall, creating a more authentic backcountry-adjacent experience than mega-resorts.
