About Ski Broadmoor
Ski Broadmoor is a historic ski area located near Cascade, Colorado, in the Shadow Mountain area west of Colorado Springs. Once a popular regional destination, the ski area has been abandoned and is no longer in operation, making it primarily of historical interest to ski enthusiasts and historians exploring Colorado's skiing heritage. The terrain historically offered a mix of beginner to intermediate runs across modest elevations typical of Front Range ski areas. Today, the location serves as a gateway to the surrounding Pike National Forest, where visitors can pursue backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, and summer hiking through the scenic mountain landscape. The area remains accessible year-round for non-ski recreation, offering excellent opportunities for photography, wildlife viewing, and exploring Colorado's rich outdoor recreation history.
