San Pedro Mountains

The San Pedro Mountains are a small mountain range located in western New Mexico. Situated in the Gila National Forest, the range is characterized by rugged, forested peaks and ridges. The terrain is primarily steep and rocky, with some areas of gentler slopes. Elevations range from around 7,000 feet in the valleys to over 10,000 feet at the highest points. The mountains are home to diverse wildlife, including deer, elk, black bear, and a variety of bird species.
