Paulina Mountains

The Paulina Mountains are a small mountain range located in central Oregon, within the Deschutes National Forest. This rugged and remote range is characterized by volcanic geology, with prominent cinder cones, lava flows, and obsidian deposits. The terrain is generally steep and rocky, with heavily forested slopes transitioning to alpine meadows and barren volcanic peaks at higher elevations. The range contains several lakes, including Paulina Lake, a popular recreation destination.
