About Watson
Watson is a ghost town in Uintah County, at the far eastern edge of Utah. Its founding is tied directly to the Uintah Railway: on November 19, 1911, a line extension shifted the railway's terminus here from the nearby town of Dragon, effectively establishing Watson as a place.
Today Watson is a sparsely documented remnant, and visitors should expect little in the way of standing structures or interpretive signage. The appeal is largely historical curiosity and the quiet, open character of this corner of Utah.
