About Veteran
Veteran is an abandoned ghost town in White Pine County, Nevada, situated just west of the present-day town of Ruth. It emerged in the early twentieth century as both a tent city and a mining town, active roughly from 1906 through 1914 before being left behind entirely.
Today the site is deserted, and visitors should expect little more than an open landscape with the remnants of a once-busy community. It offers a quiet, historically curious stop for those interested in Nevada's early mining era, though there is nothing developed or maintained on-site.
