About Vernon
Vernon is a ghost town in Pershing County, Nevada, situated northwest of Lovelock. It began as a small mining community and has since been abandoned, leaving behind only the remnants typical of a forgotten desert settlement.
Visitors today will find little more than scattered remains in a remote high-desert setting. The appeal is largely historical curiosity and the quiet solitude of the Nevada landscape. Come prepared for a self-guided, unmanaged site with no services or facilities.
