About Two Guns

Perched on the east rim of Canyon Diablo in Coconino County, northern Arizona, Two Guns is a defunct roadside attraction situated just off Interstate 40, west of Winslow. The site began as Canyon Lodge before a colorful figure named Harry E. "Indian" Miller arrived in the 1920s and rebranded it Fort Two Guns. By the 1930s the "Fort" had been dropped, and the place eventually faded into abandonment.

Visitors today find a weathered ghost town beside a dramatic canyon edge, close enough to the interstate to reach without a serious backcountry commitment. Crumbling ruins and the stark high-desert landscape make it a compelling stop for history-minded travelers and photographers.
