Tucker

Tucker is a ghost town in Utah County, Utah, situated near the east end of the Spanish Fork River canyon, about 7 miles below Soldier Summit along U.S. Route 6. Its origins lie in the railroad era, when it served as a significant loading point and construction camp on the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad.

The town was eventually abandoned, and for a time the state of Utah repurposed the site as a highway rest area. In 2009, however, the ground beneath Tucker was buried entirely when crews realigned a section of US-6's western approach to Soldier Summit. There is nothing left to see on the surface today — the site itself no longer exists as a visible place.

Visitors curious about Tucker should understand that this is a location defined almost entirely by what is no longer there. It holds interest as a piece of railroad and highway history, but there are no standing structures, foundations, or marked remains to explore.
