Termo

Termo is a ghost town sitting along U.S. Highway 395 in Lassen County, California, just north of Ravendale. At an elevation of 5,305 feet, it lies roughly 32 miles north-northeast of Susanville and once had a presence tied to the Southern Pacific Railroad line that ran through the area — a line now long abandoned.

Today the town is largely a remnant, with Highway 395 still threading through what remains of the old townsite. Visitors drawn to California ghost towns will find this a quiet, wide-open stop rather than a preserved historic district. The high-desert setting and the visible evidence of a former railroad corridor give the place its quiet appeal.
