About Ragtown
West of Fallon in Churchill County, Nevada, Ragtown is the site of an abandoned trading post that dates to 1854. The settlement never grew into a lasting community, and today it survives only as a ghost town — a quiet, largely empty stretch of high-desert landscape marking where that early commercial outpost once stood.
Visitors should come with modest expectations. There are no developed facilities, interpretive signs, or guaranteed standing structures. The draw is historical atmosphere and the sparse desert setting rather than dramatic ruins.
