Prosper

Prosper is a ghost town in Coos County, Oregon, situated along the Coquille River roughly three miles northwest of Bandon. Nothing remains of the original settlement today — the site has no standing structures or townscape to speak of.

Visitors drawn to the area will find the natural riverside setting rather than any historic built environment. The location near Bandon makes it easy to include as a brief stop when exploring the southern Oregon coast, but expectations should be kept modest: this is a quiet, largely undistinguished patch of ground where a community once stood.
