About Potosi

Potosi is a mining ghost town in Clark County, Nevada, sitting at an elevation of 5,705 feet. Known as Crystal City during the 1870s, the site eventually became referred to as Potosi Camp before settling into its current name.

Visitors should expect a sparse, high-desert setting typical of a long-abandoned mining community. Given the thin historical record, the realistic experience is one of atmosphere and remote scenery rather than extensive preserved structures.
