About Pittsville

Pittsville is a former unincorporated community in Fort Bend County, Texas, situated along Farm to Market Road 359 near Hunt Road — roughly nineteen miles northwest of Richmond and three miles north of Fulshear. Its last residents departed in the 1940s, and many consider it a Texas ghost town as a result.

Today the site sits within a rapidly developing corridor as Greater Houston expands westward through the Katy–Fulshear–Simonton area. Little remains of the original community, and visitors will find suburban growth rather than preserved historic structures. The location is accessible by road, making it easy to pass through, though there is no formal attraction or interpretive site to speak of.
