Newhouse

Newhouse is a ghost town in Beaver County, Utah, sitting along the eastern edge of the Wah Wah Valley at the foot of the San Francisco Mountains. It grew as a copper mining town centered on the Cactus Mine on the mountains' western slopes, and by reputation it was a quieter, smaller operation than the more famous mining settlement of Frisco, located roughly five miles to the southeast.

Visitors today will find a sparsely documented site, so expectations should be modest. The remote valley setting offers a sense of the isolation that defined life here, and the surrounding landscape makes it a worthwhile stop for those already exploring this corner of Beaver County.
