Montfort

Montfort is a ghost town in northeastern Navarro County, Texas, situated about eleven miles northeast of Corsicana. The former unincorporated community sat along Farm to Market Road 636, just east of Interstate 45.

Little documented history survives beyond its location, and visitors today will find at most the faint traces typical of a small rural community that quietly faded away. The easy highway access makes a brief stop simple enough for the historically curious passing through the area.
