Mineral City

Mineral City was a short-lived Colorado River settlement in La Paz County, Arizona, functioning between 1863 and 1866 as a steamboat landing and ferry crossing on the river's east bank. Its brief existence placed it in close proximity to two other riverside outposts: Olive City sat one mile upstream, while the original site of Ehrenberg was just a half mile to the north, with Ehrenberg's later location another mile and a half beyond that.

Very little remains to mark the spot today. The site is a footnote in Arizona's river-trade era, and visitors drawn to the area should expect an undeveloped, unmarked location rather than any preserved structures or interpretive features. The surrounding Colorado River corridor offers scenic and photographic interest, but Mineral City itself rewards those with a strong interest in regional history more than casual sightseers.
