About Milford Mills

Milford Mills was a village that once occupied the Marsh Creek Valley in Chester County, Pennsylvania. When the Marsh Creek Dam was completed in 1972, the rising waters permanently submerged the settlement, leaving nothing on the surface for visitors to explore.

Today the site lies beneath the reservoir created by that dam. Visitors curious about the area may find value in the surrounding landscape as a place for quiet reflection on the region's layered history, but there are no standing structures, ruins, or accessible remnants of the original village to see.
