About Laquin

Laquin is a ghost town in Franklin Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, with roots in the lumber industry. The settlement was established in 1902 to support timber operations, and at its peak it housed nearly 2,000 residents. Once the surrounding forests were exhausted and the mills could no longer operate, the industry pulled out and the population dissolved along with it.

Visitors today will find a quiet, largely vanished community tucked into the Pennsylvania landscape. As with most ghost towns of this type, little infrastructure survives, and the site rewards those with an interest in history and rural exploration. Photography and quiet sightseeing are the realistic draws here.
